About Me

Welcome! I'm a Midwest mama of two adorable little boys, and I'm glad you stopped by!

My older son was born July 2009 and loves giraffes, G.I. Joes, and singing at the top of his lungs.
My younger son was born January 2013 and has Down Syndrome. He loves tacos meat, coconut ice cream, and any toy he can get to make a noise, whether its a bell, piano, or drum!

If you're a new reader, you can expect to find a mixture of posts here on natural parenting topics (like babywearing and breastfeeding), Down syndrome advocacy and parenting tips, my take on political issues from a conservative slant, and thoughts on where the Catholic faith and conservative Christianity in general fits in to all that. I'll also post pictures/tutorials from fun crafts and recipes I'm working on-I love sewing, especially embroidery and felt toy making, and I love baking from scratch-mostly healthy, all delicious!

I do write product review posts (often with fun giveaways!) and posts sponsored by companies and will always disclose to you when I do so, and I won't lie or promote companies I wouldn't feel comfortable with my own family doing business with.
I love to do reviews and giveaways for quality brands!
I'm a bibliophile and love reviewing books, and my preschooler loves helping me review books, movies, games, and toys. I'm open to discussing any product that would be useful or fun for a young family like ours. If you have something you'd be interested in promoting on my blog, e-mail me!

I previously blogged at http://www.mamanadroit.blogspot.com/ and occasionally write posts for Natural Parents' Network and occasional guest posts on other sites as well.

me and Boy1, who is now twice that big and lost his baby curls :(
